Nissan India has launched the 2017 Nissan Terrano facelift with 22 new features both on its exteriors and interiors – though engine specs are to remain the same.
Starting with exterior, the changes are very limited with an optional L-shaped LED DRLs, ORVM- integrated turn indicators, chrome garnish around the fog lamps and grille. There is also a addition of new paint shade – Sandstone Brown, apart from the earlier 5 shades – Bronze Grey, Sapphire Black, Blade Silver, Pearl White and Fire Red.
The new Terrano has been given an overhaul inside the cabin with a black and brown dual-tone interior colour scheme with new fabric/leather upholstery, a soft-touch upper dashboard, new steering wheel design with mounted buttons, driver armrest, and illuminated switches for the power windows. Strangely, the rear AC vent on the Terrano too has been deleted like its sister model, the Renault Duster.
Other noteworthy features include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and voice recognition, cruise control, ESP, anti-pinch driver side window, one touch lane change indicator and the ORVMs are now electrically foldable. Together, all the new features enhance the amenities for the driver and occupants, rendering a more pleasurable driving experience.
No changes have been made to the engine lineup. The 2017 Terrano are made up of the 104 PS/145 Nm 1.6-litre petrol or a 1.5-litre diesel offered in two states of tune: 85 PS & 200 Nm and 110 PS & 243 Nm. Transmission choices include 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual (diesel 110 PS only) and 6-speed automated manual (diesel 110 PS only).
