TVS Victor 110cc motorcycle launched at Rs. 49,490, with 3-valve engine

Alongside the launch of flagship Apache model, TVS Motor Company also re-launched its famous Victor commuter brand that was discontinued in 2007. The 2016 Victor is available in two variants: the drum brake-equipped and the disc brake-equipped variants.

The Victor has been an iconic brand for TVS and also their first product indigenously developed by TVS on their own in 2001, but due to lack of sales the company had to discontinued the brand in 2007. In 2016, the company has brought back its Victor nameplate but the new model has no relation to the earlier models which was discontinued. The 2016 Victor is the best looking motorcycle in the 110cc segment for now with very simple yet attractive design.

The 2016 Victor is positioned between the Star City Plus and the Phoenix. Based on a single cradle tubular frame chassis with a telescopic fork suspension setup at the front and a 5-step adjustable suspension at the rear. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 2.75 x 17 at front and 3.00 x 17 at rear section, TVS Remora tubeless tyres that are claimed to offer high west grip with low rolling resistance.

The notable features on the 2016 Victor include a 60W headlamp, LED daytime running lights (DRLs), clear lens turn-indicators, semi digital instrument console, LED tail-lamp, 5-spoke alloy rims, heel-and-toe gear shifter, body graphics, black tail pipe and a revised exhaust muffler. A total of 6 colours are on offer – Zestful Red, Generous Grey, Blissful Blue, Balanced Black Red, Serene Silver, and Beatific Black Silver.

Under the skin, the bike is powered by a 109.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke, 3-valve ‘Ecothrust’ petrol engine paired develops 9.47 BHP @ 7,500 rpm and 9.4 Nm of torque @ 6,000 rpm. The bike comes with a 4-speed gearbox and TVS claims it to be the most refined engine of its segment. It returns a company claimed mileage figure of 76 kmpl. This will be the first 110cc motorcycle in India to have 3-valve engine.
