The Japanese automobile giant has been known to be working on fuel-cell vehicles for quite some time as their concept is real simple–using a complex process that involves a fuel-cell, which converts the chemical energy stored within hydrogen to electricity using oxygen, a fuel-cell vehicle is an EV powered by hydrogen. And what happens when you add oxygen to hydrogen? You get water, and that’s what’s emitted out of the tailpipe of a fuel-cell vehicle in vapor form.

The 2016 Mirai is capable of going from 0-60 in just nine seconds as the fuel cell and electric motor generates around 150hp and the Mirai can travel up to 300 miles on one tank of hydrogen, with a 0-100 km/h time of 9.0 seconds and a 40-60 km/h acceleration time of 3.0 seconds.
