Skoda India last-week introduced a limited edition of its entry-level sedan called Skoda Rapid Anniversary Edition. This limited edition is available at a starting price of Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Pan-India).
Like the regular limited editions, the Rapid Anniversary Edition gets few cosmetic updates over the features of the standard car but remains the same mechanically. Surprisingly, this edition will be available across all the variants but what extra feature each variant gets apart from the new TrackPro system is still unclear. It will be on-sale across all Skoda showrooms, only till the end of this month.
On the exterior, the Rapid Anniversary Edition will get side decals on the doors and a contrasting roof. On the inside, the cabin gets an additional wood trim and Skoda is offering the TrackPro system as standard feature across all the variants, which allows owners to stay connected to their cars, track them 24×7, record vehicle trip history, assign over speed limit and boundary alerts.
This system also helps the owner to be notified on his car getting towed, over speeding, entering and exiting boundaries and whenever the tracking device is disconnected or re-connected with the vehicle. Another standard fitment across all its Anniversary Edition variants is a dual front airbags.
Other features include 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth connectivity for phone /audio streaming / remote control via phone app, adjustable dual rear AC vents on rear center console, height and length adjustable steering wheel, cruise control, projector headlamps, and a 7-speed DSG transmission with tiptronic manual gear changing.
