SPIED: 2015 Honda Jazz spotted for the first time in Indian soil

This is the firstever spy pictures of 2015 Honda Jazz on Indian soil. Rumours are doing the rounds that Honda India has already commenced test production for the new Jazz which could be launched by March-2015. It was scheduled to launch this-year, but unexpected demand for the company’s City, Amaze and Mobilio, postponed the launch.

The 2015 Jazz has already made its presence felt in countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, New Zealand and Australia where it has been well received. The outgoing Jazz model was loved by customers, it was its high price tag which obstructed it from getting more sales numbers. This time around, Honda India has attended that issue by sharing plenty of parts with the new City, which has a 90 percent level of localization, thus will be priced very competitively.

Mechanically, the new Jazz will be coming with City’s 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel. The motor chucks out 98.8 bhp and 200 Nm of max torque, expect a 6-speed manual from City to chip-in instead of Amaze’s 5-speed unit for improved efficiency. Petrol is likely to be the 1.2-litre i-VTEC instead of City’s 1.5L i-VTEC!
