Ford India is still celebrating after the launch of Ford EcoSport on June 26th 2013. This particular launch has not only raised the falling sales of Ford prior to its launch but has also increased the sales of the SUV’s giving it an entirely new dimension in the Indian sales market. With competition from other market leaders, Ford has decided to launch the face lifted EcoSport sometime later in 2015.
The facelift version gets registration plate enclosure moves up to the rear door.
As per the reports obtained and observing the spy shots available over the web it is clear that the face lifted EcoSport would get revised bumpers and license plate enclosure has been moved to the tail gate where the spare wheel is mounted in the current version. However apart from these subtle changes, there are no other changes seen in the spy shot available when it was caught testing in Europe.
The boot space is likely to reduce with the wheel moving inside.
Coming to the technical specifications, the face lifted EcoSport is expected to be powered with the same 1.0-litre EcoBoost and 1.5-litre petrol motors that are capable of generating about 123 BHP and 110 BHP of power respectively. Much more details of this face lifted compact SUV is not yet available.
