2014 Ford Fiesta facelift launched in India, price starts from Rs. 7.69 lakh

Ford India today launched the much-awaited of the Fiesta facelift 2014 model at prices starting from 7.69 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Just like we earlier said, the Fiesta facelift will only be available in diesel engine options having three variants – Ambiente, Trend and Titanium. According to sources of company the new Fiesta will deliver an impressive fuel efficient performance of 25.01 kmpl as per ARAI test.

The Fiesta facelift gets the Ford’s new trapezoidal front grille and wraparound headlamps. The bonnet gets a power-dome hood design that looks impressive. The tail lamps get more detailed to be in sync with the stylish front end. The side profile is kept unchanged but it offers new set of twin 5-spoke alloys on 15-inch radial.

On the inside, the Fiesta facelift gets subtle changes with Piano Black finish for the central console and door handles. The dashboard and instrument cluster lighting is now blue instead of red. Furthermore, the Fiesta now gets in-car entertainment system inspired by the logic of the modern mobile phone. The interface is easy to use and have been placed for optimal ergonomic positioning.

Under the hood, the Fiesta is powered by the familiar 1.5-litre, Duratorq TDCi diesel engine that produces 90 bhp and 204 Nm of torque and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. There is no petrol powerplant on offer. As far as safety is concerned, it gets EPAS and ABS with EBD are standard on all variants. However, while the Trend and Titanium variants get airbags for the driver and front passenger, the Ambiente gets only one for the driver.

The Fiesta will come in three variants – Ambiente (base), Trend (mid) and Titanium (top end). Ford Fiesta 2014 model is now available at a launch price of Rs 7.69 lakhs for entry-level trim Ambiente diesel, Rs. 8.55 lakh for Trend diesel, and Rs. 9.29 lakh for top end Titanium Diesel (All prices mentioned are of ex-showroom Delhi). Standard equipment across all variants includes ‘guide me home’ headlamps, height adjustable driver’s seat, split-folding rear seat, remote locking and electrically adjustable mirrors.
