German automaker, Audi has officially unveiled its latest addition to the A3 line-up, the S3 Sportback. Following the latest trend of S models, the new S3 Sportback promises to deliver some serious performance from its latest underpinnings.
Powering the new Audi S3 Sportback is a newly revised 2.0-litre TFSI turbocharged four-banger that churns out 300hp and 380 Nm of torque. However, fuel economy is kept at bay with an estimated combined cycle of 34 mpg US (14.49 kmpl).
The 2014 Audi S3 Sportback will sprint from 0 to 60 in just five seconds for a top run of 250 kph. That’s accomplished thanks to the S3’s dual-clutch S-Tronic cog swapper. A six-speed manual is available as well. Delivering that power to the tarmac is Audi’s standard Quattro all-wheel drive system.
The 2014 Audi S3 Sportback so far has only been slated for the European lot with no indication of an India bound version.
