Automotive industry has to keep itself up to date with technology to offer only the best to its consumers. Perhaps this is the reason why the celebrated and world renowned auto maker Audi has recently announced its plans to initiate the utilization of advanced communication robots in order to extend help to its dealership technicians in quick diagnosis and troubleshooting the problems while servicing cars. This robot has been named Audi Robotic Telepresence (ART).

This robot will basically service as a virtual link between the technicians at the dealership and the service experts at Audi, America. The company has stated that the use of ART robot will allow them to use the expertise of servicing experts in inspecting and servicing the vehicles as if they are present right alongside the local technicians of the dealership.

According to Brian Stockton, General Manager to Technical support Audi to America, the ART robot has been designed keeping in mind the benefit of the technicians at Audi as well as the consumers. It will allow the local technicians to have access to valuable one-one-one interaction with expert counterparts in America. Consequently, the speed, depth and quality of the service being provided at the dealership will improve significantly.

Audi’s ART robot is under test at certain dealerships including:
