Suzuki is working hard in introducing new updates for its range of vehicles in the UK market. Suzuki had revealed 5-door version of Swift Sport and also 4×4 version of Swift, which has already been read by our dear readers in our previous posts at BharathAutos. Less than a month ago, images of 2013 Suzuki facelift was leaked over the web. But now, Suzuki has officially announced about the 2013 Swift facelift.
The 2013 facelifted Swift features LED day time running lights in the front bumper integrated to the fog lamp housing, high mounted LED stop light at the rear, newly designed seat fabrics with blue and grey lined accents finished in black, power folding wing mirrors, auto head lamps, auto up function for the driver side window and silver detailing to the lower front bumper. Apart from this, it also features auto air conditioning, cruise control, push button start, 7 air bags, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors and Bluetooth connectivity.
In the Indian market, Maruti has none of the features mentioned above in its version of Swift. However Maruti’s Swift is expected to at least grab some of the features from the International market, so that it could compete its rivals such as Hyundai i20, Volkswagen Polo and Nissan Micra which comes loaded with lot of features.
Suzuki Swift is powered with the same 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine and 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine. However Suzuki has retuned the diesel engine, now the diesel version of the facelifted Swift would have CO2 emissions reduced from 109g/km to 101g/km and fuel efficiency improved by 7% with the UK version claiming 25.63km/l.
