At the 2012 New York Auto Show, Hyundai will show the 2013 Santa Fe SUV. Teased here on Hyundai’s Twitter account, Hyundai says that the new Santa Fe will adopt a design concept called ‘Storm Edge,’ based on the company’s Fluidic Sculpture theme. It will also adopt the Hyundai’s hexagonal grille with wider bumpers, creating a futuristic and urban-style look.The present model of Hyundai Santa Fe is now five years old with some minor makeovers.
In India, the Santa Fe is brought as completely built unit and Hyundai India is planning to take the in house production of the SUV soon that will reduce its price and will make a great way ahead for the SUV in India. Presently, the Hyundai Santa Fe price in India ranges from Rs 27 lakh to Rs 30 lakh and is available in two wheel drive, four wheel drive and four wheel drive automatic version.
The Hyundai Santa Fe reviews have been very suggestive and people in India have accepted the vehicle quite well though in small numbers but with consistent growth since its launch in the country. No further details were released so it seems like we’ll have to wait until the 2012 New York Auto Show which is scheduled from April 6 to April 15 this year.
