We have already reported you about the upcoming Chevrolet Beat (known as Spark globally) and test mule of the same has been spotted in India already. Now General Motors will be officially showcasing the 2013 Chevrolet Beat with many other new models at the upcoming Paris Motor Show 2012. However, we can expect the 2013 Beat to be launched in India only after the launch of its 6 other models and sometime in next-year.
Sporting a redesigned front bumper, dual-port grille as also restyled fog and headlamp covers, the 2013 Beat gets a grown-up stance. The LED stop lamp has been now integrated into the spoiler. GM has also given the Beat redesigned 14 and 15 inch alloy wheels.
The interiors too have received changes and now look so much better. The beige inserts on the dashboard give the vehicle a very airy feeling, while the centre console has been remodelled and has new decor elements with enhanced storage space.
In the Indian market, the 2013 Chevrolet Beat is likely to get the same engine, as there has been no such problem with both its 1.0-litre diesel and 1.2-litre petrol mills, they are best-in class. Besides these, LPG-petrol dual fuel version is also available. But Chevy Beat diesel and LPG account for a huge chunk of monthly sales, while the petrol version accounts for a scanty number of monthly sales of the hatchback. The three variants of Beat in India are equipped with a five speed manual gearbox.
