As per scheduled, the German car manufacturer, BMW India has launched new model of its best-selling car today in India, the new 2013 BMW X1. In India, 2013 X1 SUV will be offered in a choice of three trims, all of which will be powered by a diesel engine. In terms of pricing, BMW India has priced it quite well starting at Rs. 27.90 lakh and the top-end model will cost Rs. 32.50 lakh.
On the outside, BMW has made slight styling enhancements on the X1, starting with LED corona rings on the headlamps, new air dams, chrome finish on the higher trims and a new bumper. In the inside, the centre console has been slightly redesigned and the steering wheel now gets Servotronic assistance. The X1 gets optional features like panoramic sunroof, satellite navigation and even rain sensing wipers.
Under the hood, the X1 uses the same 2.0-litre diesel motor, but the carmaker has tuned it to now make 184 bhp and 380 Nm torque. The motor also comes with start-stop function. The update includes a new eight-speed automatic gearbox as well. It also features an ECO PRO mode, brake energy regeneration and a disengagable climate compressor. 0-100 kmph acceleration takes 7.9 seconds.

- BMW X1 sDrive 20d Sport Line Diesel – Rs. 32.50 lakh**
- BMW X1 sDrive 20d xline Diesel – Rs. 32.50 lakh**
** Yes the price, for the last two variants are the same. The difference between the xLine and the Sport Line options is in the features offered.
