BMW revealed its newly designed 2013 X1 SUV at the 2012 New York Motor Show in April-2012. The X1 SUV is the most important car for BMW India. Since its launch, X1 SUV went on to become its highest selling model and a bread-winner for BMW in India. BMW India is now all-set to roll out the same in India on February 14 – the Valentine’s day.

Changes made to the new X1 include the revised front grille with silver accents, new headlamps, revamped front bumper, new wing mirrors and modified sills on the side lower body. The rear bumper now gets a larger diffuser. On the inside, the centre console has been revised, while the silver finishing on the steering wheel and chrome lining on the AC vents add a bit of glamour here.

As far as the technical specifications are concerned, the engine options are expected to be same as the current car, we expect the introduction of the 8-speed automatic transmission, launched first on the new 3 Series. This new gearbox promises better fuel economy and ensure that the car will deliver impressive mileage figures.

On the other hand, this is just a mid-life refresh with a minor nips and tucks to keep it fresh until the all-new model arrives somewhere in 2015 with a new chassis.
