The fastest road-car Bentley has ever produced, 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed has made its arrival in India. It was launched yesterday (04/02/2013) by Exclusive Motors Pvt. Ltd., this is the only dealers for selling Bentley cars in India. However, Exclusive Motors has not revealed at what price the GT Speed will be available in the country.
Bentley Continental GT Speed was first launched in 2003. The newly launched model is the second generation of the brand, which was unveiled at the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed in June-2012. Earlier this year at the North American International Auto Show 2013 in Detroit, Bentley revealed the Convertible option, GTC Speed.
Coming back to 2013 Continental GT Speed, the sharp signature design cues distinguish the GT Speed from its stable-mates, including exclusive 21-inch, ten-spoke alloy wheels, dark-tint matrix to the radiator shell and lower bumper grilles and ‘rifled’ exhaust tailpipes. The interiors, as always are bespoke with Mulliner Driving Specification and premium grade hide with a choice of 17 colours.
The GT Speed’s touch screen infotainment system both entertains and informs. At its heart is a 30GB hard drive, which offers up to 15GB of storage space for music as well as a continent’s-worth of mapping data. For the new GT Speed, the infotainment system features Bentley’s latest software upgrades, including refinements such as point of interest mapping, optional satellite landscape imagery, live traffic data and, where supported, digital radio.
Power for the new 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed comes from a 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 engine which makes a huge 800Nm of torque. Mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission, 0 to 100 kmph comes in just 4.2 seconds with a top speed of330kmph. Bentley also claims that the fuel economy is now 13 per cent more than its predecessor.
The Volkswagen Group company has an exclusive tie-up with Exclusive Motors Pvt. Ltd. for selling Bentley cars in India that has showrooms in Delhi and Mumbai. Apart from Bentley, Exclusive Motors India are also associated with Lamborghini and Bugatti cars in India.
