Bajaj Auto India is all set to launch new 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 650R on 9th July 2012 in Indian market. The bookings for this monster have already commenced at all Bajaj ProBiking dealerships across India, and those who had already booked this mean-machine, will start getting deliveries soon after the launch date. It is priced higher than that of its predecessor, the new Kawasaki Ninja 650R should touch a price well above the Rs.5 lakh mark while estimated reveal that it should be closer to Rs.6 lakhs.
Internationally the brand has already launched the 2012 Ninja Version, though India is yet to witness the classy 2012 version. It is also expected that 2013 version of the monster will soon going to hit International markets with the ABS safety option and a wider choice of color combinations. Speculated, after introducing Ninja 650R, Kawasaki will bring in naked 650-750cc bike in Indian two-wheeler market. Codenamed ER-6F, the 2012 Ninja 650R comes with a wider front faring, redesigned headlights and air vents on the side besides a new fuel tank, seat and rear end.
Although there are no mechanical changes but the cosmetic changes make Ninja 650R looks better than before. The newer Ninja 650R will be powered by same 649cc engine, which has been tweaked to give better performance. The powerful parallel twin 649cc engine will produce 72 Bhp and 66 Nm torque while sound will be sportier and handling will be more enhanced thanks to its stiffer suspensions.
