Earlier we said Fiat India might not make it to the 2012 Auto Expo, but this doesn’t stop the auto major from launching its revamped versions of Fiat Linea and Fiat Punto hatchback. In fact the car manufacturer had hoped to drive the point home coming up well ahead of the Auto Expo on January 3rd itself with the launches of the duo new Fiat Linea and Punto hatchback.
There has been lot of speculation that Fiat India might bring an improved version of Punto, the Fiat Punto Evo in India, but that seem unlikely as per the latest information. The Punto Evo is a cosmetic upgrade with more attractive looks and sportier interiors. But as per the report via IAB, there will be new features added to both Linea and Grande Punto and there will be no exterior cosmetic changes.
2012 Fiat Linea features –
- Auto On/Off Headlights
- Rain Sensing Wipers
- Power windows delay operation
- Improved AC system for better cooling
- Increased ground clearance (185 mm)
- New light two-tone beige interiors starting from base variant
- New exclusive colour (blue)
2012 Fiat Grande Punto features –
- Improved AC system for better cooling
- Increased ground clearance (1.2 – 195 mm, 1.4 – 185 mm)
- New exclusive colour (blue)
