Maruti Suzuki has released the first official image of the all new Swift posted on its Facebook page. The new Swift gets all new interiors, similar exteriors and retains the same powertrains. While the ZDi speculation is now confirmed, what has disappointed us is the lack of the push-button starter. While in India push-button starter exists on the new Swift, we expected it to come to India too as its rival Nissan Micra features it.
The new Swift will feature keyless-entry that too on the mid and top-end variants only (VXi / VDi and ZXi / ZDi). The new Swift will not get Bluetooth phone pairing either. The top end variants will get 15” alloys, ABS with EBD, driver/passenger airbags and climate control.
Apart from the high-safety-rating chassis, the only other safety feature that the lower-end models will get is the lane-departure warning system – but given the traffic conditions in India, we expect this feature to beep constantly!
Refresher – Now the Swift has shown its mantra again, has its launch date scheduled for August 17th in India. The bookings for New Maruti Swift has already started and it going very well. Now the new Swift has clocked around 40000 bookings and is still aggressively advertising the car. Now this is really amazing because Maruti has not yet announced its new Swift specifications and price in India.
