While we wait for the market launch of the Tata Bolt, the company has commenced online bookings of the vehicle and the booking amount is Rs. 11,000/-. A user can select the dealer of his choice, the colour of the car, engine option (petrol / diesel) online.
Following Zest, Bolt is the second brand new vehicle in Tata’s HorizoNEXT campaign.
Tata Motors claims the Bolt is “miles ahead of the competition in terms of Design, Drive and Connectivity”. Bolt hatchback design upholds the best ideas from 3 Tata Motors design studios – Pune (India), Coventry (UK), and Turin (Italy). Features on the Bolt include 3 driving modes, Harman touchscreen stereo system, 9th Gen Bosch ABS, dual airbags, corner stability control, projector headlamps etc…
Powering the Bolt hatchback is a 1.2-litre turbocharged Multi-point Fuel Injection (MPFi) Petrol Engine, REVOTRON producing 90 PS of power and a 1.3-litre, Quadrajet diesel motor producing 75 PS of power. At the moment, both cars are available only with a 5-speed manual transmission, but an AMT gearbox is also on the cards.
