New Volkswagen Jetta petrol scheduled to launch in late-April

The German automobile giant, Volkswagen will launch the petrol variant of the new Jetta which is powered with new 1.4 liter TSI petrol motor. Initially, the Volkswagen Jetta was expected to be housed with the 1.8 liter TSI motor that is already being used to power Skoda Laura and Skoda Superb from the Volkswagen group. However, the company has decided to introduce its award-winning 120bhp 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol, which will give customers a good combination of performance and fuel economy. Now, as the 1.4 TSI Jetta petrol engine will be price more competitively and will be delivering a higher fuel economy, it will surely give a tough fight to Skoda Laura, Toyota Corolla Altis, Renault Fluence and Honda Civic and hence the aggressive pricing strategy is very much required. It is expected to hit the showrooms in the late April, the 1.4L TSI Volkswagen Jetta might sit below the Skoda Laura in terms of prices because of its smaller engine. If at all this happens, Volkswagen Jetta petrol would be the first car to be positioned below any model of the sister brand, Skoda.
