Firstever glimpse of Bajaj’s flagship model Pulsar 375

2013 Bajaj Pulsar 375

It seems like automakers just can’t keep their vehicles under the wraps. Today, we have firstever leaked images of the new 2013 Bajaj Pulsar 375, a hotly anticipate sportsbike from Indian motorcycle major, Bajaj Auto limited. Spy photographers at an Indian motorcycling community called PowerDrift were successful in obtaining the initial images of the Pulsar 375.

The Pulsar 375 marks Bajaj’s continuous efforts to carve out a new sportsbike, which points to the higher capacity Pulsar being a full faired motorcycle. Although the folks at PowerDrift mention Bajaj’s upcoming motorcycle has Pulsar 350, we speculate it to be Bajaj Pulsar 375 cc. As the Pulsar 375 is speculated to be a counterpart of upcoming KTM 390, just like Pulsar 200 NS which is based on KTM Duke 200.

Although the KTM 390 will be a 375cc motorcycle, staying in line with KTM’s policy of naming its models like the 990 and the 690, this too will refer the same. The speculations surrounding the KTM Duke 390 suggest that the motorcycle will be a 375cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled 4-valve engine and feeding it will be an advanced fuel injection system delivering close to 45 Bhp of peak power.

From the images, the design of the headlight, tank, full fairing and cockpit are revealed. The speedometer comes from the 200 NS. The headlight seems to cut in half from below and the twin headlights are meant to accommodate projectors. The LED-daytime-light seen above the headlight looks like eyebrows given to a Beast look. The turn indicators seem to be borrowed from the KTM Duke 200.

Furthermore, the motorcycle seems to feature a multicolor paint job and could be the most technologically advanced Bajaj motorcycle ever built.  As the KTM Duke 200 and Pulsar 200NS have nearly similar power and torque outputs, the same might hold true of the Duke 390 and the Pulsar 375 as well. So, we wish the upcoming P375 could replace the P220 as the fastest Indian with a expected top speed of 160kph.

The all-new Bajaj Pulsar 375 will be introduced in the Indian bike market by the end of 2013, probably in November-2013.
