India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. today launched the much awaited third generation Yamaha FZ FI V3.0 and the Yamaha FZ-S FI V3.0. Both bikes come equipped with dual-channel ABS and are priced at Rs. 95,000 and the 2019 FZS costs Rs. 97,000 (both the prices are ex-showroom Delhi), respectively.
The 2019 FZ gets an LED headlamp similar to that of the FZ 25 along with a digital LCD instrument cluster on top of it. The new model has a redesigned fuel tank with a plastic resin tank cover and a stepped seat. The handle-bar position has been raised on both bikes.
The new model is underpinned by diamond-type chassis, with a redesigned rear sub-frame that should work well on the new FZ range. The FZS can be differentiated from the standard FZ from the lower engine fairing, partly chrome finished air intake and unique colour schemes.
Based on a reliable 149cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected single-cylinder engine has been fine-tuned to produce 13.2 PS of max power at 8,000 rpm and 12.8 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission. The updated braking setup consists of disc brakes at both ends. Single-channel ABS is also offered as standard on both models.
The Yamaha FZ V3.0 will be available at across all authorised Yamaha dealerships in two exciting colour schemes – Metric Black and Racing Blue, while the FZS V3.0 comes in three colour choices – Matt Black, Dark Matt Blue and a dual-tone shade of Gray & Cyan Blue.
