1. Tell us few words about the Independence Day Facebook Photo Contest conducted by BharathAutos?
– I’m an active member of BharathAutos since 1 year. I regularly update me with the Auto-updates & info provided by your team in really very helpful to all auto passionates like me. I had subscribed the same via mobile SMS & e-mail service. Even If I fail to surf the net on a particular day, my mobile & email lets me know the latest update in Auto Industry.
My contest number #001 is the evident that I’m very active in following BharathAutos Facebook page. I’m the first person to post my picture on the wall.
It was a nice experience that I had mailed the link to all my FB friends and almost I had mailed around 500+ users in FB.
2. What Car/Bike you own now?
– The bike I own now is Honda Unicorn 150 cc (Full Black) – 2009 model.
This is the first bike of mine & you can view my Facebook albums to see how I’m obsessive with bikes….
3. Which is your dream Car/Bike and Why?
– I have 2 classifications of bikes that I wish to own some day in the future.
Performance Super Bike – Suzuki Hayabusa, reason being I’m a die-hard Hayabusa fan & it just impresses me like anything. I even think that I’m on the ‘BUSA when I ride my unicorn, not for the speed but for the feel of the power delivery…
Touring Bike – Royal Enfield Classic 500, reason being for the pride of India & that thumping sound is harmony with my heart beating sound. I gave my soul o the day when it for the first time. Even Harley’s won’t stand with the Royal Thump… planning to get one by 2016. (I call it as ‘MISSION 2016’)
4. What is the best road you’ve driven/ridden on?
– The best I had ridden is a State Highway from a town named Kangeyam to Erode city. It is a stretch of 45 kms with both the sides nourished with green wheat fields & turmeric fields.
For highway I say the Salem Bye-pass from Sengapalli. It is a 4-lane road where I had touched my maximum speed of 115 kmph in my Unicorn.
5. What is the most exciting vehicle you have ever driven/ridden and where?
– The most exciting vehicle I had ever ridden is the Royal Enfield Lightening 525 cc Bullet in Mysore.
It happened on 15th August 2011, on my trip to Mysore to meet my friends. The bullet was owned by biking friend Sohaj veer Singh which had the transmission system exactly opposite to my Unicorn. The gear shifter is on the right side and break pedals on the left. The gear shifting pattern in Bullet (1 UP & 3 DOWN) is also the opposite to Unicorn’s shifting pattern (1 DOWN & 4 UP). It was very tricky to ride at the beginning but as and when I rode, it became like a cake-walk…
I’m planning for the Iron Butt Saddle Sore 1600 kms challenge.
