VW Vento Diesel Highline variant upgraded with new features

VW Vento Diesel Highline variant

Just before the launch of Skoda Rapid (16th Nov), Volkswagen has officially announced the launch of new features in the Vento Diesel Highline variant, in a bid to widen the gap between the Vento and the soon-to-be launched Rapid. The German automaker is now offering steering mounted audio controls, much needed USB port for the new RCD 310 audio system (with 4 speakers) and reverse parking sensor (These features which VW is now offering on the Vento are completely absent on the Rapid). However, the petrol Highline variant gets none of these additions as of now. Pricing for the Vento Highline diesel has increased slightly going up by Rs 20,000. The ex-showroom price of the car in Delhi now stands at Rs 9.77 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Refresher The Vento Diesel is powered by a 1598cc, turbocharged diesel unit which produces 105 PS of power at 4400 RPM and 250 Nm of torque between 1500-2500 RPM. The Vento is available in two variants – Trendline and Higline and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
