Volkswagen India announced it will be showcasing 4 new SUVs at 2020 India Auto Expo, which will commence on 5th of next-month. Three of those SUVs will mark their Indian debut at the biennial event, while one will have its world debut. All four will launch in India between April 2020 to March 2021.
Starting from the left, the first car in the image is the T-Roc. The SUV has already been spotted testing in India. A 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 148 BHP is expected to be available. A 7-speed dual-clutch transmission could paired to the engine.
The I.D. Crozz Concept pictured next to the T-Roc. It is a hybrid crossover, first introduced at Shanghai Auto Show 2017. It has 302 BHP output and 180 kmph estimated top speed. It is said that the battery on a single charge has a maximum range of 500 kms (NEDC). The car is all-wheel drive.
The MQB A0 IN SUV is the third car to be shown at this year’s event and it will make its world debut. The teaser image suggests that it looks close to the Euro-spec VW T-Cross, although it is likely to carry a different name in India, so as not to be considered a ‘Crossover Utility Vehicle (CUV).’ In 2021, it will be launched a few months after the Skoda MQB A0 IN SUV, the production version of the Skoda Vision IN concept
Volkswagen will also showcase Tiguan AllSpace at Auto Expo 2020. It is a Tiguan 7-seater version and is expected to come with a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that produces 178 BHP and 320 Nm torque. It could get a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive.
