TVS Motor Company are aiming to launch quite a few products in the next couple of years. The company are currently launching more products in the commuter segment. Sources say that TVS are working on a 150cc maxi-scooter for the market.
TVS 150cc maxi-scooter under development now, India launch expected in 2019 and it will subsequently make-way into global markets.It will be based on the Entorq 210 concept, which was showcased in the 2016 Auto Expo. This model is expected to be the flagship scooter from the TVS line-up when launched. We can expect this maxi-scooter to come with a long list of features to entice potential buyers.
These include a telescopic fork at the front, mono-suspension system at the rear, ABS, disc brakes and so on. We can expect equipments like a digital speedometer and a smartphone integration system, seen on the NTorq 125. TVS are developing an all new 150cc engine which will be employed by this maxi-scooter.
Design-wise, the upcoming 150cc scooter will resemble the Entorq 210 Concept showcased to the world at the 2016 Auto Expo.As far as its launch is concerned, we can expect it to happen sometime next year. This maxi-scooter will rival the Aprilia SR150, which at present is the only 150cc scooter available. We can expect it to be launched with an aggressive price tag, given TVS track record.
