Triumph’s new 250cc motorcycle is not naked streetfighter as seen in earlier spy shots, but a full-faired 675-style bike.

In our previous post in the month of June-2013, Triumph had already confirmed its launch in India. Taking a step further the company has scheduled to open its first dealership in Bangalore on 28th November-2013 (next-week). The British motorcycle maker Triumph had unveiled their 7 models of motorcycles at the 2012 Auto Expo which included Tiger XC, Speed Triple, Street Triple, Storm, Bonneville, Daytona 675 and the Rocket III.

Now at the recently held EICMA 2013 event in Milan, Italy, Triumph’s press conference concluded making everyone stop and listen. Announced that it will increase its investment in new models substantially in the coming years, the company also confirmed it is building a 250cc single-cylinder bike that will appear in 2015. Although the company themselves haven’t revealed the name, but the reporters of Oliepeil had the opportunity of looking at the engine and the details they have been able to fetch, hints at a new Triumph Daytona 250.

With the demand for quarter liter motorcycles in India and as per the reports obtained, Triumph says that its motorcycle would be a 2015 model which means we could expect it to reach the Indian roads by March-2015. Triumph’s upcoming 250cc motorcycle is expected to compete with the likes of Kawasaki Ninja, KTM Duke and Honda CBR 250R. Triumph’s motorcycles production would commence in the new plant being set-up in Narsapura near Karnataka from next-year.
