The Triumph Tiger 800 XCA has finally been launched in India – the new top-of-the-range variant of the adventure tourer is the fifth member of the comprehensive Tiger family (XC, XCX, XR, XRX).
As seen on the picture above, the Tiger 800 XCA features a few distinguishing visual cues to mark it out from regular Tiger series. It gets LED fog lights and can be identified by means of Khaki Green and Chrystal White color options. A larger capacity 650 Watt alternator has been used to power the heated rider and pillion seat and heated grips.
Like the regular Tiger series, this one too comes powered by the same 800cc, inline 3-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 94 BHP @ 9,520 rpm and 79 Nm of torque @ 7,850 rpm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle gets 4 different throttle maps that can be changed between rain, road, sport or off-road mode via the switch cube to make the motorcycle adapt to changing terrain conditions.
The biker can also configure the motorcycle to the terrain with the choice of 3 rider modes. The modes automatically configure the ABS, traction control, and throttle maps to enhance the riding experience. The options include road, off-road, or the programmable rider mode. The programmable rider mode is fully configurable and allows the rider to choose their settings for ABS, traction control, and a choice of 4 throttle maps independently.
Other features include an adjustable ABS system with Road, Off-road and Off settings, traction control (again with the same three settings), cruise control as standard, advanced trip control, aux 12V power socket and so on.
