British two wheeler company, Triumph Motorcycles has plans of bringing in 7 new models into India. These will be showcased at the Auto Expo to be held in New Delhi in January.
Speaking about the selection of the models, Ashish Joshi, Managing Director, Triumph Motorcycles India said, ‘We deliberated over the range of bikes to bring into India and decided to bring in these models to showcase the Triumph range. We have bikes which can cater to different needs – from 675cc Super Sport bike the Daytona 675 to 2300 cc Rocket III. The Indian market offers good potential and as a company, we are confident that each of our seven models within its individual category will be a trailblazer in very short time; similar to other markets we are present in.’
We went on to say, ‘Our strategy for the Indian market will be well phased out. The first part of the roll-out plan will be a CKD assembly facility which will enable us to pass on duty savings to the customer.’
Triumph Motorcycles will be launching a parallel twin Bonneville. This will be followed by a sports bike called Speed Triple, and, Street Triple with an off roader Tiger 800XC, sports bike Daytona 675, Triumph Storm, and Rocket III to follow is quick succession. All of the aforementioned Triumph bikes will be on display at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo to be held January.
