The Legendary British motorcycle manufacturer, Triumph Motorcycles had launched the Bonneville T100 motorcycle in India at a price of Rs. 7.78 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Bonneville series of motorcycles is available in various versions and body types like, a scrambler, cafe racer and the street version. The T100 is the third bike to be sold under the Bonneville nameplate in the country, after the Street Twin and the T120.
Following the design philosophy of the classic 1959 Bonneville, the new T100 is a modern icon. It is powered by a 900cc, 8-valve, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, parallel twin engine that produces 54 BHP @ 5,900 rpm and 80 Nm of torque @ 3,230 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox that sends power to the rear wheel through an X-ring chain. The claimed fuel efficiency is 31.46 KMPL. It has a fuel tank capacity of 14.5-litres and weighs 213 kgs.
A total of 3 colours are on offer – Aegean Blue & Fusion White with hand painted coach lines, Intense Orange & New England White with hand painted coach lines and Jet Black. Noteworthy features include traction control, ABS, ride-by-wire throttle, torque assist clutch, an LED rear light and engine immobiliser. The T100 rolls on custom developed Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp tyres.
Additional 150 accessories available to customize the Bonneville T100 at the Triumph dealership, these include heated grips, a centre stand and grab rail. Tank bags and panniers too are available for long-distance biking enthusiasts.
