Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has added two new variants of its Etios Liva hatchback in diesel fuel trim. Previously, the Etios Liva line-up used to comprise of 4 variants which are JD, GD, GD SP and TRD Sportivo. The newly introduced variants are named as VD and VD SP (SP referred to Safety Package) and they sit at the top of its line-up.
The changes to the exteriors on the VD and VD SP models include a double chrome grille and turn indicators integrated on the wing mirrors and 12-spoke alloy-wheels. On the inside, both the variants VD and VD SP are being offered with rear defogger, tachometer, AUX-in & Bluetooth enabled music system and a wood grain finish on door handles.
Furthermore, as reflected by name, the VD SP variant is indulged with various top-notch safety features like dual-front airbags, ABS, EBD etc. Introduction of leather-wrapped steering in this variant is icing on the cake. However, the new variants will be powered by the same 1.4-litre D-4D diesel mill, with no tweaks for additional power or torque.
The VD model has been launched with price tag of Rs. 6.72 lakh and VD SP with price tag of Rs. 7.12 lakh (ex-showroom price in New Delhi).
