Indian car market is showering with many car launches, the nation is receiving cars after cars from both home grown makers and International players. Today we already reported about the 5 car launched in recent times and now Toyota India has launched the refreshed Toyota Etios Liva and Etios (sedan), with prices starting at Rs. 4.76 lakhs (all ex-showroom, New Delhi).

Although mechanically both the siblings have remain unchanged but interestingly have been given a midlife makeover with cosmetic changes and additional equipment. Includes a new front grille, electrically adjustable ORVM’s, wood finish armrest, 12-spoke alloys, and chrome door handles. Inside, the cars get new fabric upholstery for the seats and door armrests with wood finish. The Etios sedan also gets a new pearl white body colour.
The highlight of the refreshed Etios range is the dual front airbags are standard across the range (even for the Etios Cross) – Toyota has followed in Volkswagen’s footsteps. The top-end trims get electrically adjustable ORVMs, new LCD display and digital clock and a 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth, USB and Aux-in connectivity with controls mounted on the steering wheel. The Etios also gets 2 new speakers at the rear in addition to the ones in the front.

Mechanically, both the cars are unaltered. The Liva is offered with a 1.2-liter petrol engine offering 17.71 kmpl and 1.4-liter diesel engine offering 23.59 kmpl, and the Etios sedan comes with a 1.5-liter petrol engine offering 16.78kmpl and 1.4-liter diesel engine offering 23.59 kmpl. All engines are mated to 5-speed manual transmission.
