Toyota Kirloskar Motors has recently introduced a special ‘Xclusive’ edition of the Etios and Liva in India to celebrate the Etios brand’s second anniversary edition in the country. The company says that it will build only 1,000 examples of the Liva Xclusive Edition, giving car buyers a dash of exclusivity in this era of mass production and homogenization.
However, we know the Toyota India has been struggling to sell Etios Liva, and its entry-level sedan, the Etios continues to be a decent seller but not something that would challenge the likes of the Swift Dzire or the Amaze, thus, in order to counter the upcoming festive season, Toyota has geared-up to launch a limited edition variant of the Etios sedan and the Liva hatchback.
The additional features of Etios and Liva Xclusive edition include –
- Two tone beige and gray interiors
- Chrome accented gear knob
- Bluetooth audio with remote
- New seat fabric
- Reverse parking sensors
- Xclusive Edition Badges
Apart from new interiors, the car remains the same, save for minor detailing changes on the exterior that includes Xclusive’ badge on the boot lid. The Xclusive edition is based on the mid-spec G variant of the Etios & Liva. The G Trim on both the cars is available both in the petrol and diesel engine options, so we expect the Xclusive Editions too to be offered with both powertrains. The Etios and Liva Xclusive editions are available only in three paint shades – white, grey and silver.
Toyota India hasn’t revealed the prices for the Toyota Etios and Liva Xclusive editions, AutoCarIndia expects it to be priced around Rs 15,000-20,000 higher than the normal G version. But we expect that Toyota would push the Xclusive edition with no price increase, as the car market is in a big slump.
