In Thailand, the Toyota Corolla Cross SUV (codenamed: 740B) was spotted undergoing road testing for the first time.
The Corolla Cross SUV has been reported to be based on modular TNGA platform. The Corolla Cross is supposed to be positioned in between the Yaris Cross and the RAV4.
From the spyshots, it is evident that the test mule has flared wheel arches and has a high ground clearance. It’s got a gently sloping roofline at the rear with a roof spoiler. The rear window is roughly raked and has a slope in the back.
A 1.8-liter petrol and a 2.0-liter petrol fuel engine are likely to be provided to the Corolla Cross SUV. For the foreign markets these are the same engines used in the Corolla sedan.
The Toyota Corolla Cross SUV launch specifics are not known at moment, but the SUV is expected to be launched in both South East Asia and Australia’s emerging markets.
