Tata calls it the Styleback, and not a sedan or a hatchback.

As you know, the Tigor is a replacement for ageing Indigo eCS, and is based on Tiago hatchback, Tata Motors has done a pretty neat job of integrating the boot on to it. Compared to the Tiago hatchback, the Tigor has a 50mm longer wheelbase that undoubtedly to more rear legroom. The interior has a similar layout to its hatchback sibling, however, the lower portion of the dashboard has a darker shade.

All the details and specifications of the Tigor were revealed ahead of its official launch, only the pricing was suspense. A total of 4 trims are on offer in both petrol and diesel motors – XE, XT, XZ and XZ (O), and 6 colour options – Sunburst Orange, Pearlescent White, Platinum Silver, Striker Blue, Espresso Brown and Berry Red.

Since the company has recently introduced an AMT in the Tiago, one cannot rule-out the possibility of the Tigor getting an AMT, sometime in the future.

The Tigor has an all-black interior contrasted by body-colored, chrome and gloss black accents in the XZ grade.

The Tigor also gets added equipment with the inclusion of a rear centre armrest with integrated cupholders, the Harman-sourced touchscreen infotainment system from other newer Tata models, a new auto climate control system and a reverse camera. The cabin overall is roomy and Tata has managed to offer 24 storage spaces, spread across every nook and corner.

The top-spec petrol models ride on a new diamond cut 15-inch alloy wheels while the diesel shares the 14-inch alloy wheels with the Tiago hatchback.
