Tata Motors recently launched new Starbus Ultra, a 22 to 46 seater BSIII compliant luxury vehicle which is ideally suited for schools, tourists, and office staff commuting. Though launched for intra city commuting, the luxury variant is also suited for inter city purposes.
Tata Starbus Ultra is offered in Luxury, Standard, School and Deluxe and due to its extensive seating capacity it is ideally suited for a wide range of uses. It is designed to meet the Bus Body Code and is fitted with an aerodynamic body. It is the first such bus to have its front door in front of the front axle and hence offers more seating space, which makes it more economically viable for operators. Aisle width and seating comforts is what attracts commuters to this mode of transport.
Available at all Tata Motors dealers, the Starbus Ultra offers a high level of fuel efficiency since it is fitted with a Tata 497 engine with a viscous fan. A 6 speed gearbox along with cable shift mechanism offers increased mileage and a higher maximum speed with 30% more life expectancy making it economical for operators.
Luxury features available include push back seats with 135 degrees of incline, individual reading lamps and AC controls for each seat, foot and arm rests, and a number of entertainment options. The school variant is fitted with 25 safety features and special comforts keeping the needs of children in mind. Prices start from Rs. 15 lakhs ex showroom Thane.
