Tata Motors and Nepal have a relation that dates decades back. If the car is launched in India, it is evident that Tata will launch it in Nepal besides other countries. Be it trucks or small cars, now Tata vehicles also ply on Nepal roads. Adding to the Nepal stable, Tata has also launched its best selling hatchback in Nepal which is Tata Indica Vista. Following the high import duty on completely built units, the Tata Indica Vista price in Nepal is between Rs 11.86 lakh to Rs 16.5 lakh which seems to be far high for an entry level hatchback. Notably the small car Tata Nano is already doing well in Nepal and has promising numbers on the Nepal car sales chart.

Tata’s flagship hatchback that also created history in India and soon became the best selling diesel car in the country has been launched in Nepal in its facelift form. The new Vista is high on features, tops safety and performance and also offers ‘comfort of a sedan’. The Tata Vista made for Nepal sports exactly the same features as the Indian counterpart. In car music is taken care of by the 2DIN music system that comes integrated with Bluetooth connectivity. The driver seat is height adjustable on the higher trims with a large glove compartment. Electrically controlled ORVMs coupled with new technology which is Anti-Lock Braking system and electronic Brake Distribution as well as other safety features mark the new Vista safer than before.

Though due to the import duty, Tata Vista will be costly for the Nepalese car buyers, however it still is the cheapest entry level hatchback in India in diesel. However, with the recent addition of Chevrolet Beat Diesel, India too has become a tough market for Vista still it is preferred by Indian car buyers over the other foreign makes.
