To those interested in buying Tata’s answer to the Maruti Suzuki Swift and Hyundai Grand i10, you’d know that a online bookings for the Bolt has already commenced at Rs 11,000.
‘Bolt’ with its name signifying speed, represents an attitude of winning and staying ahead. With the philosophy of ‘Confident Dynamism’, BOLT is set to create benchmarks in the industry by being miles ahead of competition in terms of Design, Drive and Connectivity.
The bold new stance and the well sculpted body of the BOLT put forth the new Tata Motors design semantics and it is a design culmination of best ideas from the three Tata Motors design studios – Pune (India), Coventry (UK), and Turin (Italy). Bolt comes with superior space and comfort. Featuring a forward pouncing stance, the car conveys a sense of power and agility even when it is standing still. The exterior design gives the impression of a larger hatchback and the floating roof and the blackened C-pillar provides the car with an extra sporty touch and aids in aerodynamics.
The company has not only focused on the exterior but also provided the car with stunning, high-tech interiors with segment leading features. A premium chrome embellishment renders the cockpit aura of elegance. The centre console is the main focal element for the car, loaded with the best-in-class experience of infotainment and HVAC.
The BOLT will be available in Petrol and Diesel. In the petrol, BOLT will be the segment’s first hatch to be powered by the 1.2L turbocharged Multi-point Fuel Injection (MPFi) Petrol Engine, REVOTRON 1.2T, with best-in-class max power of 90 PS and peak torque of 140 Nm. It also features first time ever – MULTI DRIVE: Sport, City, Eco modes, which brings nimble road mannerism to the vehicle. The diesel variant comes with a powerful 75PS engine, delivering 190 Nm of uninterrupted flat torque, for a peppy drive with seamless delivery of power. New advance 9th generation ABS by Bosch™ for improved braking efficiency and with yet another segment-first, the Corner Stability Control (CSC), adds to the safety features of the vehicle.
Furthermore, Tata Motors has associated with HARMAN for developing the first-in-segment touchscreen infotainment and with MapMyIndia for next generation smart phone based navigation, which also provide location based services. These features and more will ensure that the customers can seamlessly integrate their professional and personal lives into their travel, while bringing in an unparalleled infotainment experience.
