Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL), a subsidiary of one of the world’s leading two-wheeler manufacturers, Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, launched the BS-IV compliant versions of its Hayate EP motorcycle and the Let’s scooter.
The Suzuki Hayate EP is powered by an 113cc, air-cooled, single cylinder engine with an output of 8.58PS and 9.3Nm. The BS-IV complaint Hayate EP priced at Rs 52,754 (ex-showroom, Delhi) competes with motorcycles like the Mahindra Centuro, Hero Passion Xpro and Honda Dream Neo.
The Suzuki Let’s is powered by an 112.8cc, air-cooled, single cylinder engine with an output of 8.7PS and 9.0Nm. In the Indian market, the BS-IV complaint Let’s priced at Rs 47,272 (ex-showroom, Delhi) competes with the likes of the Honda Activa-i, TVS Scooty Zest 110 and Yamaha Ray-Z.
The last two vehicles in its India line-up that is now BS-IV compliant allows Suzuki to join Bajaj, TVS and Honda as manufacturers that have completed BS-IV fuel norms compliance for their entire range of 2-wheelers before the April 1, 2017 deadline.
