Suzuki Motorcycles India has tied-up with Salman Khan’s Being Human foundation to come-up with a special edition version of the Access 125 scooter, christened Suzuki Access ‘Being Human’ edition. Through this collaboration, Suzuki will not only sell this special edition of the Access, but also various other Being Human apparel and merchandise in its outlets across the nation.
The company is targeting to sell 40,000 special edition scooters and another Rs 3 crore turnover from merchandise sales. A part of the profits will be used to finance heart surgeries, cataract operations, education of the underprivileged and bone marrow donation camps. Previously, Suzuki India along with Salman Khan’s NGO had donated 100 water tanks to farmers in Maharashtra.
Talking about the the Suzuki Access ‘Being Human’ edition, the changes incorporated are purely cosmetic. They include faux leather seat cover, chrome-plated grab rail and rear view mirrors, ‘Being Human’ front emblem, ‘Apna Way of Life’ stickers on the side and a Pearl Mirage White paintjob. With these additions, the Access now looks somewhat similar to the new Vespa VX.
However, the mechanicals remain untouched and comes powered by a single-cylinder, air-cooled 124cc engine that is good for 8.5PS of max power and 9.8Nm of peak torque. A CVT belt type transmission has been used for the smooth operation of power transmission at the rear wheel. This special edition scooter is priced at Rs. 55,113 (on-road, Delhi), that is about a thousand rupees more than the regular variant.
