SPIED: Next year’s Hyundai Creta facelift spotted testing in Indian roads

Hyundai India is looking to revamp its premium SUV, the Creta by giving the car a facelift. This is because of the good response given to its rival Jeep and its premium SUV, the Compass. It is expected to arrive in early-2018 to Indian shores.

Recently, spyshots have emerged of the facelifted Creta undergoing testing. The big change is that the car will feature a new front grille and will sport a new front bumper, giving it a bolder look. Rest of the exterior is expected to be unchanged.

Hyundai will give the car features like 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, black cladding, Automatic AC and so on. It is unlikely to see the automaker giving the car a new set of engines, with the 1.6-litre CRDi VGT(126 BHP) and the 1.4-litre CRDi diesel (89 BHP). Other ones may include a 1.6-litre petrol dual VTVT engine (121 BHP), all of them available in both manual and automatic versions.

Hyundai is expected to showcase the facelifted Creta at the upcoming Auto Expo in February 2018. When launched, it will rival the Jeep Compass, Renault Duster and Maruti Suzuki S-cross. Expect the Creta facelift to cause a stir in the segment.
