Team-BHPian by the name Mad Monkey managed to spy the new 2012 model of BMW F30 3 Series. According to Mad Monkey, he spotted the new BMW F30 3 Series at the port of Mumbai. Evident from the badge, the F30 is a 320d model. BMW is planning on launching 2012 F30 later this year in India.
The new 2012 F30 3 Series is being offered in a range of new engines, which will include an entry level 3 cylinder diesel engine. 2012 BMW F30 3 series will also be available in 2.0L four cylinder turbo diesel engine which is available on their current 3 Series variant. Petrol engine options too will include turbocharged variants.
The 2012 F30 BMW 3 Series sedan will possess an 8 speed automatic transmission built by specialist transmission maker from Germany, ZF which will help delivering better mileage and more power. BMW 2012 F30 will offer improved rear seating comfort, thanks to longer wheelbase. New 3 Series car has a host of both interior and exterior features which will be its number one selling point in a country like India.
According to our good friends at IndianAutosBlog the production of the new 3 Series will start around April at the Chennai plant.
