A couple of weeks ago, we reported that Mahindra plans to launch a sub-four-metre version of the Verito sedan (popularly known as Mahindra Verito CS) by early-2013. Now the firstever spy picture of the same has been caught testing in the streets of Bangalore, thanks to Team-BHP member audioholic for the snap.
The Verito CS will directly compete with the likes of existing new Maruti Dzire and Tata Indigo eCS in the market. And it could also compete with the likes of the upcoming Honda Brio sedan (named Amaze) and the Manza CS. Mahindra Verito under 4 meters can cut cost to 10 percent excise bracket, hence Mahindra Verito can costs 30k – 50k lesser than existing models.
Under the bonnet, the Verito CS will have powerful 1.5-litre K9K turbo diesel engine that is already tried and test in other prominent cars like Nissan Micra, Nissan Sunny, Nissan Evalia, Renault Duster, Renault Pulse, Renault Scala, Renault Fluence and Mahindra Verito.
