Spied – Mahindra Mini Xylo compact MPV gets an updated front-fascia

Mahindra & Mahindra recently announced to launch the much awaited ‘Mahindra Mini Xylo compact MPV’ just before the Indian festive season of Diwali. Now Motor Vikatan on FB page has posted a spy picture of the five-seat mini Xylo from one of their readers. This spy picture creates sensation among the aspiring buyers, that front-end borrows common design cues from the updated Xylo.

Now the doubt is cleared among our prospective readers, if the mini Xylo gets the front-fascia of the old Xylo. The  Mini Xylo is more like a hatch and has highly constrained proportions than its bigger brother. It will be measured under the 4 meters that will result the deduction in the government excise duty. Initially, the all new 2012 Mahindra Xylo Mini will be available in diesel variant only.

Under the bonnet, the new Mini Xylo compact MPV is expected to have a design with 3 cylinders, will be around 1.5 litres in displacement. The compact diesel engine has been obtained from the 2.2 ltr mEagle engine of Mahindra Xylo. Further, the 1.5 liter diesel engine will have a common rail direct injection and will be turbocharged.

As of now, it is belived the top-end variant of the Mini Xylo will come equipped with plenty of advanced safety features like EBD, ABS, airbags etc. that mark positive to struggle against the other B-segment hatchback cars. The interior of new Mahindra Xylo Mini compact MPV is pretty comfortable and impressive. The Mini Xylo MPV will have a seating capacity for 7 people with 2 in front, 3 in the middle and 2 at the back. The two seats in the last are provided as foldable seats. The good passenger and cargo space makes it prefect family vehicle.
