General Motors unveiled its MPV christened ‘Enjoy’ at the 2012 Auto Expo held at New Delhi. Since then this MPV has been seen rigorously testing in different locations in India and the spy images of the same has been on the web, being tested in cities like Chennai, Bangalore, Halol, Pune, Mumbai, and Cochin. Now we have some interesting images which reveal a lot of the MPV’s exterior and the interior as well snapped by our friends at OnCars in Pune.
From the photos, the tailgate of Chevrolet Enjoy is clearly visible which reveals there are slight changes in the car from that of the Auto Expo edition. The addition of the monogram with the model name Enjoy has been hidden under the tape. The front fascia of the Chevrolet Enjoy is still covered but the cladding in the earlier spy shots covered both the tail-end and the face of the General Motors Enjoy. But still the looks are not so different from that of the Auto Expo look of the car.
Coming to the interior, the seating for seven is clearly visible and the car has no premium looks in an interior as seen from the spy pictures. The second rows of roof mounted blower are just behind the first row of seats. There will be no individual unit for the third row as the second row has four blowers. The car set up is a bit smaller in comparison to the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.
Under the hood, the Chevrolet MPV will be offered in two engine options, a 1.4-litre petrol engine which is capable of churning out a 98 PS of power and the diesel version of the car will have 1.3-litre Multijet engine which can produce the power of 90 PS. Both of these engines are mated to a five speed manual transmission gear box. The petrol engine would apparently offer a decent mileage of 12kmpl on city roads and 16 kmpl on highways.
What we say? With the similar 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will be a closest competitor of Chevrolet Enjoy MPV. According to the sources, the new Chevrolet MPV is expected to hit showroom floors by this-October with a price ranging from Rs 6 to 9 lakhs.
