Ford Fiesta hatch has been caught testing in India since Feb 2010 and it has been snapped many a times. The company still continues test this useful vehicle, which was recently spotted in Chennai. Apart from this Ford has 8 new products planned for Indian market by 2015 (out of which the 3 known products are the New Ford Fiesta sedan, New Ford Fiesta hatch and Ford EcoSport SUV.)
Recently the Ford released the pictures of the 2013 Ford Fiesta hatch which will make its debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. The 2013 Ford Fiesta’s front-fascia is dominated by a trapezoidal front grille, bracketed by laser-cut headlamps with daytime running lamps that use LED technology, and features a power-dome bonnet design. It also features well-redesigned interiors.
The 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine will make way onto the 2013 Ford Fiesta. Along with this, the Fiesta will be enhanced with a lot of safety features, including Active City Stop, Emergency assistance in case of a collision which contacts the nearest emergency center automatically. The 2013 Ford Fiesta also gets Active City Stop system, SYNC voice activated multimedia system with USB and Bluetooth, and MyKey system, which prevent the drive from switching off safety aids (like TCS, ESP, etc).
Al though we don’t expect this model anytime this year but might see it somewhere around the second half of 2013, or maybe before that. Once launched in India, it will be placed between the Figo and Fiesta Sedan and will compete with other premium hatchback like the Hyundai i20, Fiat Grande Punto, Volkswagen Polo etc… It is expected to carry a price tag of Rs. 7 lakh for the base model with the top end model carrying a price tag of Rs. 9 lakh.
