Yamaha Motor India had scheduled to make a big announcement on January 7, 2014, but due to some reason the company has postponed the programme for 9th of January (today). Although Yamaha India has remained tight lipped about the specific announcement that will be made later today, most of the trusted blogs close to us reveal that its launch of the male oriented 125cc scooter targeted mainly for family buyers and will be pitted directly against the segment leader Honda Activa and Hero Maestro.

The guesses by the industry expert say that the upcoming product of Yamaha to be the Cygnus-X which is currently sold in the European market. The Cygnus-X is powered by a single cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled 125cc engine with Maximum power 8.2 kW @ 8,500 rpm & Maximum torque 9.3 Nm @ 7,500 rpm. The Cygnus-X exterior looks sporty, and a taillight adopting a row of LED lights to the driver behind is just awesome.

Yamaha Cygnus-X is extremely maneuverable and will provide a ton of fun squeezing past stuck traffic and smoothly darting ahead to take you to the destination in time and with a smile on your face. A compact chassis offers predictable and confident steering, while a disc front brake provides dependable stopping power to keep things on the safe side. Its dashboard gets both analog & digital display, and some exciting colour options.
