Renault India has launched the much awaited new Koleos SUV in Delhi yesterday, before its world debut at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. The Koleos has been priced at Rs. 22.99 Lakhs (Ex-showroom price, Delhi) and comes with just one variant which will be fully loaded. The Koleos is a compact looking SUV which comes loaded with lots of attractive features and has good looks with high quality fit & finish.
Renault Koleos is powered by a 2-litre common rail turbo diesel engine (dCi) with a maximum power output of 150PS@4000rpm and peak torque of 320Nm@2000rpm. This is the same M9R unit that powers the X-Trail, coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission. The Renault Koleos has one of the lowest emission standards in its category. The KOLEOS will be available in a 4×4 transmission mode with a six-speed automatic gear box and 13.7 kmpl ARAI mileage.
The new Renault Koleos (4×4 version) is equipped with Hill Start Assist, which prevents the vehicle from slipping back on slopes and the Hill Descent Control which automatically holds the vehicle’s speed at a maximum of 7kph.
The new Renault Koleos also comes with three free services up to 20,000 km, which is extendable to 4 years/80,000 km & 10,000km anti-rust warranty. For Renault, this is their second launch of the year in the Indian car market after the launch of the Fluence in May 2011. Renault operates through 14 dealerships now and looks at adding another 26 by year end.
