Renault’s Duster which was one of the successful cars after its launch about one year ago is now seeing a decline in its sales in the Indian market. The main reason for the decline is the recently launched aggressively priced Ford EcoSport and Nissan Terrano (which is almost like the Duster with improved exterior). In order to overcome this, Renault has launched the anniversary edition of the Duster in the Indian market with slight cosmetic changes.
Coming to the changes, the anniversary edition Duster comes with a new Cosmos Blue color exterior, new side body graphics reading ‘1st Anniversary Edition’ and is based on 110 PS diesel RxZ version. Apart from this, it would also feature MediaNav system providing integrated navigation and Bluetooth connectivity.
Coming to the technical specifications, the anniversary edition Duster will be unfortunately equipped with the same 1.5-litre k9k diesel engine that produces 108 BHP of power with 248 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. As per the new ‘Expect More, Get More’ scheme, Renault will offer exchange benefits worth 60,000 INR along with additional two years warranty. In addition to this, Renault will also offer free ‘Gang of Dusters’ community membership and free roadside assistance for four years.
