VW-controlled performance car manufacturer Porsche has launched the Cayman S Black limited edition on the Indian market. The soft launch took place on Saturday and with only 500 of the limited edition model globally, it comes to Indian shores at a price of Rs.75.45 lakh (Ex-showroom price, Delhi). A sleek black is an upgraded version of the Cayman with new features.
New features and improved interiors and exteriors are among the additions in the Black version of Cayman. The front seats are trimmed in black partial leather and it has sports steering wheel are the first things one notices of the interiors. . The Porsche Communication Management (PCM), Porsche’ way of saying “satellite navigation” is available and the black audio interface plays MP3 files. The system is also Bluetooth compatible.
Cayman Black runs on a 6 cylinders, 3.4 liter engine and can zip from 0 to 100 kmph in approximately 5.1 seconds. 330 hp at 7400 rpm and a peak torque of 370 Nm at 4750 rpm. Equipped with PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe) dual-clutch gearbox, the car accelerates till 279km/h. It’s true that the car overshoots as compared to available Indian infrastructure, and one may never find a road to reach full capacity, but at least you’ll be zipping by in a Cayman S Black.
